They are stars, the brightest one in each country. This summer, they will travel all along the way, across the universe, to gather in Sao Paulo where one of them will conquer the universe. As a celebration of Miss Universe pageant diamond anniversary, we dedicate this section for them. The beauties from all corners of the universe, who will fight to become the one and only, Miss Universe 2011!

Afërdita Dreshaj - KOSOVO ( 25/183 cm)
Aferdita Dreshaj is an Albanian singer and model. Dreshaj was born in New York City, while she was raised by an Albanian American family from Michigan. Dreshaj's family is originally from Montenegro but they emigrated to United States because of difficult financial life. She competed as one of 20 finalists in Miss Universe Kosova 2011, held in Pristina on 15 January 2011, where she obtained the Miss Press award and was crowned Kosovo's official representative to Miss Universe 2011. She has an established career as a pop dance artist in Albania and Kosovo, with various music videos which can be found on YouTube by simply searching her name. Her first album title is "Just Kiss Me".

Sheroma Hodge - BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS (26/175 cm)

Hodge attended British Virgin Islands High School from 1997 to 2002 and graduated from H. Lavity Stoutt Community College in 2004 with an associate's degree in natural sciences, where she collaborated in public relations and designing the college's website. Hodge is presently pursuing a bachelor's degree in media and communication, with a specialization in multimedia, at the University of the West Indies in Mona, Jamaica, where she's won the multimedia student award for her graduating class. Hodge competed as one of 5 finalists in Miss British Virgin Islands 2010, held in Road Town on 1 August 2010, where she obtained six special awards including Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Wear, Best Intellect, and Best Poise

Valeria Bystritskaya - GERMANY (25/174 cm)
Comes from the capital city Berlin, Valeria is the winner of Miss Universe Germany 2011 and the official representative of this European federal country in Miss Universe 2011. As you can guess from her family name, Valeria is not a German native. She is of Russian origin and currently works as a model.

Shayna Afaisen - GUAM ( 23/165 cm)
Shayna Afaisen came from Inaraian and competed as a finalist of Miss Guam 2011 held on 3 June 2011 at Sheraton Laguna Resort and won the title of Miss Guam Universe 2011, gaining the right to represent Guam at Miss Universe 2011. The pageant itself is famous for its winner announcement accident, when the host made a mistake in announcing the titleholder of Miss Guam International 2011, who will represent Guam at Miss International 2011, and the First Runner Up.

Yara Khoury-Mikhael - LEBANON (22 / 177 cm)

Yara Khoury was crowned as Miss Lebanon 2011 on 10 July 2011, gaining the right to represent Lebanon at both Miss Universe 2011 and Miss World 2011. Yara has completed her secondary school at Grand Lycee Franco Libanais and now currently study in Lebanese American University. She was born on 6 November 1992.

Larona Kgabo - BOTSWANA (25/173 cm)
Larona Motlatsi Kgabo won the Miss Universe Botswana 2011 pageant held at the Gaborone International Conference Centre. She will represent Botswana in Miss Universe 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil on 12 September 2011.

Valerie Lim - SINGAPORE (26/179 cm)
Valerie Lim is a behaviour therapist dealing with autistic children and also an avid blogger. Her blog DWEAM which shares a lot of tips about beauty and make up is one of the most popular beauty blog in Singapore. She competed at Miss Universe Singapore 2011 where she won Miss Body Beautiful award and the title of Miss Universe Singapore 2011. Prior to her participation at Miss Universe 2011, she has competed at another Grand Slam pageant, Miss Earth 2009 where she ended up as Top 16 Semifinalist.

Keylin Gomez - HONDURAS (23/170 cm)

Gómez competed as one of the finalists in her country's national beauty pageant Miss Universo Honduras 2011, held on 27 July 2011 at Centro Social Hondureño Arabe in San Pedro Sula, gaining the right to represent her country in Miss Universe 2011. Her full name is Keylin Suzette Gomez and she comes from Cortes department.

Natalia Rodriguez - ARGENTINA (25/174 cm)

Natalia Rodríguez was crowned Miss Universo Argentina 2011 on 4 July2011 at the Palacio Alsina in Buenos Aires. Aside from being chosen as Miss Universo Argentina 2011, Natalia was also chosen as a princess in the National Day of Spring and Summer Queen of Monte Hermoso. She comes from the capital city of Buenos Aires and works as a model.
