As a celebration of Miss Universe pageant diamond anniversary, we dedicate this section for them. The beauties from all corners of the universe, who will fight to become the one and only, Miss Universe 2011!

Sheldry Saez - PANAMA (19 /173 cm)
Sheldry Nazareth Sáez Bustavino is a Panamanian model and winner of the Miss Panama 2011 contest on 26 May 2011. She started her modeling career when she won the "Wilhelmina Model Search" contest in 2007. It gave Sheldry the chance to work for Wilhelmina Panama Talents, her official modeling agency as of today, and winning contract a modeling career in New York for 6 months. She studied Classic Ballet for nearly 13 years. She's currently in her first year of her degree in marketing and has ambitions to manage her family's furniture store business. During the Miss Panamá 2011 contest, she also received the awards of Best Fantasy Costume, Miss Photogenic, and "Misses Council," awarded by the panel of judges that included former beauty queens and participants of Miss Panama. She speaks English, Spanish & some Portuguese.
Chanyasorn Sakornchan - THAILAND (21 /175 cm)
Chanyasorn Sakornchan was born and raised in Sattahip, Chonburi. On 26 March 2011, Sakornchan was crowned Miss Thailand Universe 2011 by Ximena Navarrete, the reigning 2010 Miss Universe from Mexico. As a press favourite, she also won the Miss Photogenic award. She is the daughter of Lieutenant Commander Suebsamoot Sakornchan who works as airline pilot for Bangkok Airways and Ratree Tangthamsatit. She once received a one year high school exchange scholarship (OEG High School Exchange USA) from Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali of Thailand. She attends Assumption University where she majors in Interior Architecture and Design. She speaks Thai, English and some Japanese. Her hobbies include singing, playing the guitar, dancing and flying Ultralight aviation.
Viviana Ortiz - PUERTO RICO (24/176 cm)
Born in Corozal, Ortiz works as a professional model and holds a bachelor's degree in telecommunications at the Sacred Heart University of Puerto Rico, graduating magna cum laude. She competed as Miss Corozal in Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2011, held in San Juan, where she obtained the Best Runway and Best Fashion Style awards and eventually the title of Miss Universe Puerto Rico.
Ronnia Fornstedt - SWEDIA ( 20/180 cm)
Ronnia currently resides in Södertälje, Sweden. Her father left the family when she was just a one year old and her mother passed away when she was twelve. Ronnia spent the rest of her childhood with her older sister and family in Södertälje. She was crowned Miss Universe Sweden 2011 in June. Ronia has been signed with agencies such as Elite Stockholm and Zap Models. She became the face of Transderma Skin Care after her crowning in June 2011. For her preparation to Miss Universe, she was personally invited by former Miss Sweden 1989 also Miss Universe 1989 First Runner Up and Miss Scandinavia 1990 winner, Louise Camuto (maiden name Drevenstam) to visit the Camuto Group showroom in New York where she will receive wardrobe for Miss Universe. Ronnia is also being outfitted by Maggie Norris Couture as well.
Laetitia Darche - MAURITIUS ( 20 /175 cm)
Laetitia Darche (born 22 June 1991) is a Mauritian beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Mauritius 2010 and will represent her country in both the 2011 Miss Universe and Miss World pageants. She's born in Uccle to Belgian father Michel and Mauritian mother Jacqueline, Darche, spending her first three years of life in Mauritius. Her family then moved to Spain for ten years and to Belgium for the next five, where she would enjoy visiting her grandmother Rachelle in Jodoigne. Darche speaks French, Belgian French, Spanish, English, Flemish and Mauritian Creole. She started her modeling career at age 16 and participated in Elite Model Look Mauritius 2009, where she obtained the Prix spécial du jury and finished second overall. Prior to competing in Miss Mauritius, Darche was pursuing a bachelor's degree in sociology and economics at Paris-Sorbonne University and worked as a model doing photo shoots in France.
Andri Karantoni - CYPRUS ( 18 /170 cm)
Andri Karantoni is the reigning Star Cyprus 2011 and the official representative of her country for Miss Universe 2011. The national contest was held on 7 July 2011 where two main winners were crowned, Star Cyprus 2011 for Miss Universe and Miss Cyprus 2011 for Miss World. Karantoni is also a professional model and was signed with Diva Model Agency at Nicosia.
Nelly Kamwelu - TANZANIA (19/172 cm)
Nelly was born to a Tanzanian father and a Russian Greek mother. She started participating in regional beauty contests since 2008 and finally ended up as a second runner up in Miss Ilala 2008 after which she was able to participate in Miss Tanzania the same year but was unplaced. She did not give up tough and finally won the national crown this year. Nelly has also been featured in Music Videos of Tanzanian musicians. Before competing in Miss Universe 2011, Nelly was sponsored by the Tanzania Tourist Board to represent the country in Miss Southern Africa International pageant 2011 which was held in Ndola, Zambia as a part of Zambia International Trade Fair. She won the main title by defeating six other contestants and also won the Best Evening Gown award.

Claudia Schiess - ECUADOR (21/172 cm)
Born to an Ecuadorian mother and a Swiss father, Claudia Schiess is pursuing a bachelor's degree in business engineering at Universidad Del Pacifico and speaks Spanish, English, German and Swiss German. She is also a professional make-up artist. She enjoys dancing, music, theater and has studied modern dance for six years in the Galápagos. Prior to her participation in Miss Ecuador 2011, she was appointed by Miss Ecuador Organization to represent her nation in Miss Supranational 2010, held on 28 August 2010 in Plock, Poland. In Miss Ecuador 2011, Schiess competed as the representative of Galápagos, one of 19 finalists in her country's national beauty pageant, where she obtained the Best Figure, Best Face and Best Hair awards and became the eventual winner of the title, gaining the right to represent Ecuador in Miss Universe 2011.
Olesya Stefanko - UKRAINE (23 /177 cm)
Born in Kolomyia in the Carpathian region of Ukraine, Stefanko is currently pursuing a law degree in at Odessa National Law Academy where she was enrolled as a student of he Institute of Prosecution and Investigation. The academy is also the first one to recognize Stefanko's beauty when in 2008, she was named Miss Odessa National Law Academy, a beauty pageant held for the students of her academy, prior to her participation in Miss Ukraine Universe. Last year, Stefanko competed as one of 15 finalists in her country's national beauty pageant, Miss Ukraine Universe, held in Kiev on 11 December 2010, where she became the eventual winner of the title, gaining the right to represent Ukraine in Miss Universe 2011.
