The pageant was held on 6 April 2013 at Portobello Resort & Safari, Mangaratiba, Rio de Janeiro with 37 participating contestants. Miss Brasil World 2013 will represent Brazil at Miss World 2013 while the Runners Up will compete at Miss Supranational 2013 and Miss Tourism Queen International 2013 respectively.

Predicting The Winners of Mister Brasil 2013 Challenge Events

Mister Brasil 2013 will feature 6 different challenge events whose winners who will receive varying extra points from 5 to 15 towards their preliminary score. Overall these 6 challenge will determine only around one fifth of a contestant preliminary score, but in Mister Brasil, which is famous for its high octane level of competition among its contestants, this one fifth score would be pivotal in determining which one is in and which one is out. Here, we are trying to predict who will likely come up triumphant in 5 out of these 6 events. And here they are our prediction for Mister Brasil 2013 Challenge Event winners!

Sport Challenge

Winner : Tocantins
This one is actually not a prediction since we already know that Mister Tocantins took the top spot as announced by the organizer several days ago. Parabens Mister Tocantins!

Talent Challenge

Winner prediction : Maranhao

This martial arts expert show us an energetic and full of adrenaline rush display of martial arts which is unique, fascinating, captivating, and clearly deserve a top spot in this category.

Beach Hunk Challenge

Winner prediction : Atol das Rocas

With such a killer god-like abs, Mister Atol das Rocas should easily add the prestigious title of Beach Hunk winner as his third award to his already double victories of Best Smile and Best Skin awards.

Top Model Challenge

Winner prediction : Fernando de Noronha

Tall, dark, handsome, and already having experience to model and walk for major international fashion label such as DSquared. Mister Fernando de Noronha is totally a definition of Top Model.

Multimedia Challenge

For months following the pageant, Mister Ilha dos Lobos has worked really hard to update his official fanpage with interesting photos, stories, and trivias which earn him a whooping number of more than 13,000 likes. For this hard work, creativity, and dedication, we think he should win this title.

Miss Brasil World & Mister Brasil 2013 : Judging System

The brand new judging system of the currently ongoing Miss Brasil World and Mister Brasil 2013. Miss Brasil World 2013 will represent Brazil at Miss World 2013 while Mister Brasil 2013 will represent Brazil at the upcoming Mister World edition if the pageant is held during his reign.

1. Preliminary Judging

The preliminary judges will review and score each contestant with a maximum 50 points in each of these 4 categories : interview, facial beauty, swimwear, and evening wear. Each judge will give a score from 0 to 5 with one of the lowest score and one of the highest score eliminated from each contestant's score. The remaining scores will be averaged and then multiplied by 10 to determine a contestant's score in a category. For example :

Interview score for Mister / Miss X from the preliminary judges are :
3 - 3 - 2 - 4 - 3 - 5 - 5 - 2 - 3 - 2 - 5 - 4

One of the lowest score (2) and one of the highest score (5) will be eliminated, leaving the score for Mister / Miss X as the following :
3 - 3 - 2 - 4 - 3 - 5 - 5 - 2 - 3 - 2 - 5 - 4 = 34 / 10 = 3.4 x 10 = 34 points

The same system will be applied to all 4 categories thus the maximum point that a contestant could earn from the preliminary judging is 200 points.

2. Challenge Events

Unlike the previous editions, challenge events will no longer guarantee a spot in semifinal for their winners. Instead the winner and finalists of each challenge event will receive extra points towards their score as the following :

• Sports and Talent
5 points - winner
4 points - second place
3 points - third place
2 points - fourth to fifth place
1 point - sixth to tenth place

• Multimedia
5 points - winner
3 points - second place
1 point - third place

• Beach Beauty / Beach Hunk and Top Model
10 points - winner
6 points - second place
4 points - third place
2 points - fourth to fifth place
1 point - sixth to tenth place

• Beauty with a Purpose
15 points - winner
10 points - second place
6 points - third place
4 points - fourth to fifth place
2 points - sixth to tenth place
1 point - all contestants who submit a social project

The points received from the preliminary judges and all challenge events will be combined to determine 15 out of 16 semifinalists. The final spot of semifinalist will be awarded to the winner of Miss and Mister Popularity which will be determined by an online popular vote on UOL website.

3. Semifinal and Final Judging

Once the 16 semifinalists chosen, they will compete once again in a swimwear and evening wear round where the final judges will select 6 finalists to enter the final round.

The 6 finalists will then face a final interview round and in a unique twist, the remaining contestants will vote for their favorite. This vote will serve as one judge vote, and together with the votes of the other final judges, will determine which one of the 6 finalists crowned as the new Miss Brasil World and Mister Brasil titleholders.

• Photo shoot with Estudio Xis and filming process.
• Consultation session with Alexander Gonzales (image consultant from Venezuela), Juliano Crema (official pageant dermatologist), and Carla Grotto (publicist).
• First group interview with the judges.

Tuesday, 2 April 2013
• Sports challenge event competition.
• Talent challenge event competition.
• Voting for Miss and Mister Popularity is officially open.
• Second group interview with the judges.

Wednesday, 3 April 2013
• Beach Beauty / Beach Hunk challenge event competition which will be broadcasted live by UOL starting from 4 pm local time.
• Third group interview with the judges.

Thursday, 4 April 2013
• Top Model challenge event competition which will be broadcasted live by UOL starting from 4 pm local time.

Friday, 5 April 2013
• Mister Brasil 2013 Final which will be broadcasted live by UOL starting from 10 pm local time.
• The final will be hosted by Cris Barth with Juceila Bueno and Ricardo Magrino as commentators.
• Also attending the final are the reigning Mister World Francisco Escobar from Colombia and former Mister Brasil winners Lucas Malvacini, Jonas Sulzbach, dan Lucas Gil.
• At the end of the event, Mister Brasil 2012 Willian Rech will pass his title to the winner who will receive full scholarship from Estacio de Sa University.

Saturday, 6 April 2013
• Miss Brasil World 2013 Final which will be broadcasted live by UOL starting from 10 pm local time with a special theme "50 Years of Bond Girls".
• The final will be hosted by Cris Barth with Francisco Budal and Camilla Serakides as commentators and Kim Lirio (Idol reality show finalist) as performer.
• Also attending the final is the reigning Miss World Wenxia Yu from China.
• At the end of the event, Miss Brasil World 2012 Mariana Notarangelo will pass her title to the winner who will receive full scholarship from Estacio de Sa University.
